Art Leon Antique Genuine Leather Cantilever Accent Chair, Saddle Belt Design & Solid Arch Wood Frame

I hate furniture shopping in person with a passion of a thousand suns. There is just so much more selection online. But, I've ended up with some hard to assemble and uncomfortable chairs through the years. I've finally struck gold with this chair. First of all, it ships fully in tact, with no assembly required. Sweet glory hallelujah for that. Right out of the box, it seems small, my husband was immediately suspicious that we'd fallen victim to another online stinker. It's a tiny bit stiff in the seat right out of the box, but after using for a few days it it softens up and is super comfortable. It is supportive where it needs to be and soft where it needs to be and isn't too low so you're struggling to get up out of it, but also isn't a giant overstuffed thing, because the space where we have it is not that large. We have a giant sectional that we sit it to watch TV from, and my husband prefers this chair now, and he's not a small guy. It's actually nice that it doesn't come up to support the head/neck, because if he rests his head, he's asleep. This way he doesn't ruin his night sleep by taking a nap in the evening. He and the teenagers in the house and the cats all fight over who gets to sit in it. We finally bought a second one to put in our other living space and got rid of our cool looking but uncomfortable chair in there as well. The cats have mostly left it alone, it's not become one of their scratching posts. There have been a few pulls, but they clip off with scissors well.

Both my hubby and I find these chairs very comfortable, with just the right amount of firmness. They are modern, almost brutalist design, but not severe. At 40 pounds each they are easy to carry and move. The leather stitching and quality of leather seem excellent. The dark solid wood frames are beautiful, but I wonder why they are not metal or bent plywood or instead for strength, given the arches in the design.
